TASUS supports the Franklin Initiative

May 5, 2014

Bloomington, IN—TASUS President Melanie Hart has spoke of the shortage in skilled labor at various business and manufacturing events over the past year. Now, she is doing something to help fill that void.

This year TASUS was a sponsor for the Franklin Initiative’s annual Employment and Job Skills Fair. This event offers students an opportunity to find employment opportunities, as well as learn important job skills. Over 100 local students attended this event in the hopes of gaining valuable skills while locating potential jobs in the Bloomington area. It is TASUS’s hope that through this event many of these students have gained the knowledge and skills they need to be successful and fill the void in manufacturing labor. The Franklin Initiative looks for ways to enhance learning and career development for students. They offer a variety of services and programs for local youth.
